Easybeats to hall of Fame

Hi All,
For the next 3 months I am going to devote myself to obtaining as many names
as I can in support of The Easybeats
inclusion to the Aria Hall of Fame. I've decided that a simple approach is
the best as for Stage 1 of this campaign and
that hopefully the sheer numbers of supporters will generate enough high
level publicity to allow Stage 2 to be effective.
Stage 2 being to embarrass the Aria beaurocracy into at least genuinely
considering our request. Your return emails will be saved as hard copy and
professionally bound to be presented to Aria. Please delete this blurb and
simply fill in the details below the
line....address' are only requested as they are a prerequisite for a formal
petition, however if you are uncomfortable with doing so just a
suburb/town/postcode should suffice. Industry folk please include your
details i.e. band name, company or just music fan. Any names received in
this campaign will only be seen by myself and Aria.Spread this form to

EASYBEATS FOR ARIA HALL OF FAME

To describe The Easybeats as "Australia's Beatles" is not to damn them with
faint praise. They were without question the best and most important
Australian rock band of the 1960s, and their string of classic hit singles
set the benchmarks for Australian popular music. They established a unique
musical identity, and they became our first homegrown rock superstars. For
sheer quality, inventiveness and originality their work is unmatched.

Based on the above paragraph, a quote from www.milesago.com , the ultimate
site for Australian music from the 60s and 70s, I/we, the undersigned urge
the Aria organisation to consider The Easybeats for inclusion into the ARIA
Hall of Fame.
Through their music The Easybeats touched many thousands of Australian music
fans and also took Australian
music to the world. For them not to be included in the Hall of Fame is
inconceivable.
