Dear Rock-it Radio Listeners,

Well, I have never done 6 shows for one newsletter before, but
yesterday when I went to the Post Office there were a total of 12!
shows that arrived for airplay, I think the local post office I guess
they were all waiting for me while I was away on vacation... so we
have to play a little catch up. They are all great shows and we have
also squeezed in the show by Lane Quigley as the tribute to the
Righteous Brothers in show #799. So, this is the newsletter for
shows #796 to show #801 (We have just crossed another milestone of
featuring our 800th show in this newsletter as well).
Also, please remember that Christmas is coming up and if you are
ordering online thru Amazon.com to please use our links as it helps
pay for the bandwidth and copyright fees required to bring these
shows to you online, along with items purchased at our Rock-it Store
at: http://www.palmsradio.com/store.html

Lane Quigley & The Memory Lane Show with a special tribute
to Bob Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers on show #799

The newest MEMORY LANE SHOW from Studio B at Rock-it Radio features
Lane Quigley paying tribute to the late Bobby Hatfield of The
Righteous Brothers. The Righteous Brothers were an extremely popular
act in Southern California, where Lane grew up, and he features some
great gems from the boys sprinkled throughout the program. You'll
enjoy tunes from all phases of their career, including some rockers
("Justine", "Little Latin Lupe Lu"), doo-wop ("I'm So Lonely"), Blues
("Try To Find Another Man"), and of course one of their great Phil
Spector Wall of Sound productions ("Hung On You"). You'll also hear
their first recording together - as members of The Paramours ("There
She Goes"). Lane opens the second half of the program with the
chillingly befitting "Rock & Roll Heaven".

In addition to the seven Righteous Brothers tunes, there are gems
from big stars (Chuck Berry, Sam Cooke, James Brown), not-so-big
stars (Jan & Dean, Bobby 'Blue' Bland), lesser stars (Wanda Jackson,
The Rays, Mickey & Sylvia) and never-were-stars (The Butanes, Holly
Maxwell, TNT Tribble, The Strollers) and everything in between.

1. Justine - Righteous Brothers #85 1965
2. Let It Rock - Chuck Berry #64 1960
3. Gonna Roll Lucky Seven Tonight - Ray Johnson & The Highlights 1954
4. Don't Forget I Love You - The Butanes #96 1961
5. Little Latin Lupe Lu - Righteous Brothers #49 1963
6. I'm So Lonely - Righteous Brothers 1963

9. Come On Over - The Strollers #91 1961
10. Gonna Hustle You - Jan & Dean 1964

19. Hung On You - Righteous Brothers #47 1965
20. Only When You're Lonely - Holly Maxwell 1965
21. Chicken Shack Boogie - Amos Milburn 1956
22. What Would I Do - Mickey & Sylvia #46 1961
23. Thirty Second Lover - The Five Royales 1957
24. Try To Find Another Man - Righteous Brothers 1964
25. It's You Sugar - T.N.T. Tribble
26. Hot Dog, That Made Him Mad - Wanda Jackson c1958
27. Enamorado - Keith Colley

Be on the lookout in December for the Fifth Annual Memory Lane Show
EAST/WEST Battle. Every year, Lane gets together with legendary East
Coast dj Bill Green in Studio B. Bill brings in a dozen or more east
coast tunes, and Lane matches each one with a west coast record that
has something in common -- then the listeners vote for the winner in
each round! It's a lot of fun and one lucky listener will win a
prize from Rock-it Radio.

Also, remember in a upcoming show we will be featuring in a couple of
week's Dave sends us this very cool information on a special he is
doing on the Del Vikings. Dave writes to us telling us that --
"Just a note to tell you guys that I have great show coming your way--
'The Del-Vikings Anthology' with my special guest, original Tenor
David Lerchey, alive and well in Florida.

The Del-Vikings of course, were founded in Pittsburgh while the guys
were stationed here in the Air Force. There's a lost of misgiven
info on the group, and for history's sake ,we'll straighten it out
and get the real deal from David Lerchey.

Listeners will hear a lot of rare stuff from the group never issued.
Many of the tunes are from actual acetate masters which have been
long lost. I think the listeners will enjoy this intriguing
special." I am sure they will Dave and we look forward to airing it!

Remember, if the show that you want to hear is getting close to the
bottom of the list of radio shows, you should tune in as soon as you
can.
These shows to have a high audio quality require a lot of
internet bandwidth and memory. And currently we can only afford the
10 latest shows online here at Rock-it Radio.
So, when a new show is put online it knocks the oldest one off the
internet server.
Usually a show will at least last 10 days, once it is placed in the
archives.
