Being a guitar player of simple tastes, I don't use much in the way of effects. However, the effects I do use are controlled by the footswitch on the amp and the odd stomp box) so the Zoom GFX8 looks insanely complicated to me. I've got it cos the fiddle player in my band bought it in a rash moment. What he really needs is a Boost Kick to raise his solos out of the mix when we play live but, having forked out £200 on this thing, is loath to fork out anymore. I'm trying to work out a way in which the Zoom GFX8 will perform the function of a boost kick without altering the sound too much and I'm buggered if I can find a way to do it. I've read the manuals and am none the wiser (patches? downloads? what happened to stamping on the bloody thing?!?) Any ideas guys? Matt
