Hi Dom, What always intrigues me whenever spam is discussed in Usenet, is
why the solution always seems to come down to the millions of us who are
GETTING spammed reacting to the problem.

We should be buying this specific piece of software, or using shareware, or
freeware or that browser, installing it; setting it up; and the way you do
it is easy... Oh yeah etc.

Sorry, it's cyberbollocks - all of it.

Let me get this right. There are basically a few hundred spammers
CREATING 90% of this shite (USA a major problem and others catching
up) and the ISPs and Govts. know who they are...

...and yet millions of us should each spend money to solve the SAME problem
millions of times over. Spend billions on expensive software, none of which
does the job well - and then the individual time installing it, configuring
it, updating it and otherwise phaffing about with it - all without solving
the actual problem of spam... ? ands involving a huge amount of time -
collectively millions and millions of hours.

Sorry, you don't need to be a '***kin' professor to work out what the
solution really needs to be.
