What a time-sink! Pop songs are even funnier. First verse of "Proud
Mary" through the Irish translater [which doesn't seem to know if it's
in the Republic or Ulster]

Lef a gear job in de city,
workin' for yer fella every noight an' day,
still oi never lost a minute av sleep in
worryin' aboyt de way things might 'av been.

and through the Scottish [very Glaswegian] one

Left a mental job in tha city,
workin' fur tha cheil every nicht an' day,
still Ah ne'er tint a minute ay sleep in
worryin' abit tha way things micht huv bin.

Thank you, Marjorie, for a lovely way to avoid doing any real work!
