More 'would be imitator beware'! June's voice is so unique that I doubt
she creates soundalikes (which Ewan MacColl certainly did). Echo of
Hooves (Hoofs?) is an album which is probably mandatory listening, about
on the same level as Jansch's 'Ornament Tree' for taking a genre and
reworking it. And hopefully bringing it into light again, because some
of the chosen songs are just not much done right now, and I happen to
like them greatly, and would welcome hearing them more often from other
performers.
