Bless Playlist 17-11-2003

Another good week this week. I got some very cool requests - The 
Cardiacs, no less! Shame I didn't have any with me... ;-)  

I played a handful of repeats this week from last week but as they're 
all brand-new tracks, I'm not that arsed. I managed to stay clear of 
Mars Volta, Nas and Death Cab (I like all those artists, but I've played 
them too often recently).

I also got a lot of ska-punk requests, which leaves me in a difficult 
position. On the one hand, I like a lot of ska-punk myself. On the other 
hand, it's one of the most over-played and over-represented genres 
around at the moment so I don't want to play too much (and make my night 
exactly like all the other ones).

I'm always puzzled when people ask for a band and then don't recognise 
them. One lad asked for Jurassic 5, I played them and then he came up 
and asked for them again. When I said I'd just played them (literally, 
the song before) he looked very disbelieving. What can you do, eh? :-)

Next week I must play more new hip hop and more glitch.
