I don't understand why "lewd and lacivious acts with a child" should
call for 8 years in prison (re. Michael Jackson's recent bust.) And
then they must determine how many counts. Just seems like this culture
has gone a little backwards with protecting children. Protect them
from what exactly? What could scar a child so bad as to warrant such
harsh punishments? I understand strict prohibitive measures as
pertains to physical sexual acts, as in rape, assault, etc. Does
anyone know what "lewd and lacivious" is exactly? I'll look it up.
