While working as a railroad ticket agent for Amtrak and the
Metropolitan Transit Authority's Hudson Line at the Poughkeepsie, NY
station, I was asked by a passenger if her train was on time. (Since
the trains originate from Poughkeepsie when headed south to Manhattan,
they're always on time.) My answer was "Ma'am, all our trains are on
time, except when they're late."
