I once had a Muslim email me to give me pretty-much the same test. He
said that if I sat in a quiet room, stared at the wall, and quietly
intoned "There is no god but Allah and Muhommed is his prophet" that I'd
get evidence of Allah.

Why is his test wrong and yours right?
