# How did you become interested in Indian esoterica?

some good bit of preparation was had previously in my visitations
with worshippers of Krishna, who had a temple near to my university
campus that I visited a few times and enjoyed immensely. I liked
their celebratory methods and this keyed me into Indian gods.

later I received communications from unknown intelligence and, after
settling with them, began to identify imagery which resonated with my
new Spirit Guide. after identifying their conformance with trees
and dragons, I was struck by the perfect matching in imagery of 
She who would be my Beloved in dedication: Kali. I changed my name
and took vows as part of my spiritual revision, consonant with 
loose discipline and targetted values. my primary societal involvement
was with occultists, Neopagans, and nondenominational universalists.

since then I've discovered enhanced inspiration in worshiping Her
in Her most wrathful aspect, and have been taking instruction from
Her on matters occult and neo-tantric ever since. I can't say that
my interests or practice are particularly Indian, though I gather
there are resemblances from kindred who were more familiar with
Indian norms of worship and dedication who came to know me.
