Solemnly is a lot closer to literally than it is to figuratively. And
Our Lord did not say He was speaking figuratively, here. He repeated
His solemn word to them, three times. After that many stopped
following Him altogether.

That is my true intent. I want to see the false teachings regarding
all these things stopped, and the true teachings -- the Catholic
Teachings -- be universally known.
