There you go again -- that's insulting. It is not "the romish
denomination," it is the Catholic Church, or Catholicism if you
prefer.

The weight of Biblical evidence is for the Catholic position.

>As for the ROCK, Jesus Christ IS THE ROCK.

I know, I saw it in your sig line ;-) But you know that the name
"Peter" means Rock, and you also know that Our Lord spoke to Saint
Peter about this, and made him certain promises that did not apply to
the other Apostles.

God's Church will not be destroyed, and the Rock -- who is now John
Paul II -- is in the Church. The Church is founded on him, in fact.

Well let us hope that can continue on both sides. I am not under any
delusion that I am going to make you change your mind, but you are a
soul, beloved of God, just as I am. My aim is to make you realize, at
the least, that the Roman Catholic position is neither unreasonable
nor unbiblical. If I can do that, I will have accomplished a lot of
good, with God's help.

Not likely. Most of those who argue against Catholicism come right to
the Catholic newsgroup and just start firing away. Maybe the Baptist
group is different, though that would surprise me. Catholics can be
jerks sometimes, too.

Very true. The worst offenders in that category are those who begin a
cross-post and then abandon it as to participating, preferring to just
sit back and watch the flames. That, is an example of human evil.
