No humor today -- rather, a fact. In Bermuda, they bury families on top of each other in the same grave because burial space is so limited on this small island. If you've never been to Bermuda, go -- it's a gorgeous place. On Friday evening I got a change of address notice that I can't honor. One of my longtime faithful E-Cheer readers transferred to Heaven after a long battle with cancer. Her casket will be placed on top of her husband's in the same grave. I wish I could send E-Cheer to her in Heaven, but I don't need to. She is already with the Master Teacher. Psalm 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Those of you who have committed your life to Jesus Christ will one day hear these wonderful words, "Welcome Home." For some of us dealing with adversity, these words will be especially wonderful. There may be some who are reading this message who have never taken that step of putting their faith in Jesus Christ. Death is no respecter of age -- ask any mother who has lost a child, perhaps a teenager. If you are still in that group of non-believers, and your demise comes before sunrise, you will not get to hear those special words, "Welcome Home." You can change that. You've heard this phrase, "Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people." So, I need to ask you, "Are you prepared for life after death?" Are you -- really? John 3:16 is often called "The Gospel in a nutshell." Here it is (nlt): "For God so loved the world (including you) that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." That's all you need to know to become a Christian -- a member of God's eternal family. If you haven't already, will you make your decision now -- yes, right now.
