http://upray.org/commandments/ On November 3, the United States Supreme Court rejected an opportunity to take a stand on the constitutionality of the Ten Commandments by refusing to hear the appeal of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. The justice had asked the Court to consider a recent decision by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals that allowed to stand a lower court ruling which required the state of Alabama to remove from the rotunda of the Alabama State Judicial Building because it included the Ten Commandments. The Florida-based Center for Reclaiming America has launched a petition drive calling on Congress to display the Alabama Monument, or similar Ten Commandments monuments, and to pursue legislative action to secure the right of Americans to display the Ten Commandments. The Center is also asking that the federal courts support the public display of the Commandments. While nearly 137,000 citizens have already rallied in support of the campaign, the Center would like to send 250,000 petitions to Congress in the next few days. Your help is needed: first, to pray concerning this important matter and believe for the hearts of Congress to be turned in support of the public display of the Ten Commandments. Second, consider signing a petition and sending it to Congress calling for the "Display the Ten Commandments." Sign the petition now! You can also call your congressmen or state senators to express your concern over the Supreme Court's decision.
