          When we hear someone say, Hitlers Pope we
generally think of Pope Pius the
Xll, because it was, Pius Xll that signed a Concordats with Hitler.  
  Actually Pius Xl was Pope at the the time and Pius the Xll was the
Vatican's representative in Germany at the time of the sighting.    
Pius the Xl died in 1939, and Pius Xll
was elected Pope, by a mostly Italian college of Cardinals, Sighning the
Concordats before the war broke out shows, the Vatican was preparing the
Catholic population, of Italy and Germany, while Hitler was building his
war machine.
          Both were interested in, establishing the
third rich, considered by both to be the third Roman Empire.
          There is no proof Germany's Bishop was
chosen by Hitler to be the Pope, in 1939 however there is ample
evidence, the appointment was politically influenced.
      Pope Pius Xll's ties to Germany and his birth place,
Italy, was valuable to the AXIS POWERS to rally the Italian people to
the new political alliance between Germany and Italy.
              With the fall of the Nazis,
and infamy of both Italy and Germany, along with Europe's rejection of
Catholicism, Pius Xll began trying to distance the Vatican from the Axis
powers, he helped create.
          IN Feb 1946 Just a flew months after the
end of WWll, Pope Pius Xll reduced the long standing, domination of
Italian Cardnals to 40% making it appear for the first time the CC was
actually, Universal
          The reminder of the Bishops were chosen
from all Races and cultures.
The Vatican tried to divorce her self, from the part she played in
exterminating Europes Jews, by begining a propaganda campain that
included Nazi bashing, and support for establishing a ''Jewish home
land''

forgive the Vatican, because a new political alliance, was forming in
America that would give both, Zionists and Catholics, great political

New York Times reported Golde Mier as thanking the Church for rescuing
Jews. Hundreds of thousands were saved by the Church. The head Rabbi of
Rome back then said... " No one did more to help the Jews than the
