That > would seem to me like a disgusting discrimination... > Steve already said it all: >Moreover, none of these nations has signed CEDAW. (Convention on the >Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women : >http://www.un.org/womenwatch/daw/cedaw/) So what? Nor has Australia, Barbados, Canada, Japan, Poland, Samoa, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the United States - to name but a few countries. Countries that have signed include Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Colombia, and so on. http://www.un.org/womenwatch/daw/country/compliancetbl.PDF --- The fact that there are "no comments" from people does not mean that we are "stunned by the truth" as you say. Maybe it means we think your point is spurious. Do you *really* think that the US is in danger of implementing sharia because it hasn't signed up to CEDAW yet? Many US Christians opposed that too - Robert and Darrick to name but two who post here. Paul
