Thanksgiving Prayer

I give Thee thanks my Lord for the Emu and the Koala
For the Platypus and the Southern Right Whale
For the Sea Eagle and the Hairy Nosed Wombat
Oh Lord! The Fat Tailed Dunnart!
What a Bobby Dazzler!

I give Thee thanks for Spring my Lord
Even with the pollen, runny nose and bloodshot eyes
I love Thy Spring and the foals that accompany it
Foals my Lord! Brilliant work! Stunning fun!

And Thy snakes are out my Lord
Thy Copper Head and Red Bellied Black,
Thy Brown and Tiger snakes
With them come Thy insects
Thrips in billions, Mozzies, Slaters and
Thy Huntsman spiders, big as my hand,
To feed on all.
What's with all that Lord? ;-)

Thy Wedge Tailed Eagle circles our property each day
I give Thee thanks I am not Thy Bush Rat, Bandicoot or lamb
Thy Budgerigar is so named to indicate "Good to eat"
How the hell would anyone know Lord? ;-)

For all Thy wonders in this Thy most splendid season
I give Thee praise and thanks Lord
Life's a hoot and I wouldn't be dead for quids.

I drove home from a school trip to see Thy whales today Lord
Thy whales are lazy, low lying and elusive
But Thy Dolphins came out to play
Will Thy not reconsider reincarnation Lord?
Dolphin or Otter please.

I drove home passed Thy foals and beneath Thy eagle Lord
I did not drive over Thy Tiger Snake because he seemed safe distance
