I absolutely advocate teaching American children non-coercive information about Islam, Hinduism, animism etc etc etc. I absolutely advocate teaching them to understand, love, and protect the rights of Moslems, Hindus, animists etc etc etc. This article addressed the concerns of people who had been persecuted under Islamic law. Their concern was a curriculum that was advertised as promoting Islam. A bit of sensitivity for the Coptics is in order here. Having fled an Islamic country for a more free society, they felt threatened by the advocacy of the very thing they had fled. Wouldn't you?
