Here's the definition from the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary.
I'll leave others to comment on whether I've used the right word. In
particular, check out definition no. 4:

1 Formed of a single (large) block of stone; of the nature of a
monolith. E19. 

2 Of, pertaining to, or characterized by monoliths. M19.

3 Archit. Made of a solid unbroken mass (of concrete). L19.

unemotional; solidly uniform; (of an organization) large and
