Paul, You probably have never met Baha'is who would argue with you that the teachings of Baha'u'llah are entirely unique and in them you can find no relationship to anything gone before except the "spiritual verities." I have. And they would say that you and MacEoin are in error about our roots in Sufiism. I've even met some that would argue that the Bab and Baha'u'llah were the first Manifestations to forbid slavery and that Baha'u'lah was always perfect even in His mother's womb and His father's sperm, the gleam in his eye, and prior to that into Pre-Existence. I could point you to a couple of them who would probably beat you up if you didn't agree. So don't be too sure that all of us know and accept what you feel we do or ought to. I know some believers who think Sufiism is dancing around in circles until you fall over drunk or dancing with a jewel stuck in your naval. When I was a kid, I thought He went to that cave where all those Sufis were hanging out just to get away from His evil family and get a good two year rest. --Cal
