Perhaps you could cite the message and quote me where I said "that "alHamdulillah"
is only a religious word used by Sunni Islam"? I don't recall writing that at all.
I recall saying "alHamdulillah" appeared to be an Arabic expression about praising
God.

Lots of Arabic speaking people would use the term. Even this Christian
missionary in Egypt used the term Hamdullah while attending some Presbyterian
school over there:
"My typical day for the last 3 weeks has consisted of reporting to work in
the morning; coming home for a quick bite of lunch; and then 4 hours of
Arabic lessons in the late afternoon/early evening. "Hamdullah" (Arabic
for "praise God") for my teammate Julie and I work together and have
commuted together in the women's car of the metro. Hamdullah also for
the women's car, which is usually the first two cars designated only for
women. As you may recall, I am working as the Admin Assistant to the
Executive Director; however, most of what I have been doing so far is
attending meetings and talking with other staff and volunteers of the
Joint Relief Ministry (JRM). "

This occidental guy associates the phrase "alHamdulillah" with chewing qat in
Yemen, rather than a distinctively Muslim perspective:

I even recall saying that related expressions could be said by all sorts of people:

The phrase is used wherever one might say "Praise be to God" by those who
speak Arabic, regardless of wether they are Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze,
or Baha'i, or agnostic.

What I had said about the recitation of "alHamdulillah" as a religious practice, was
simply to comment on the text which you provided describing the practice of reciting
"al Hamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, Subhan-Allah" 33 times each day, citing the Sunnah,
rather than Shiah or Sufi sources, even though you seemed to be arguing that this
was a Shia and/or Sufi practice.

I never had any doubt whatsoever that the Shia Muslims would praise God. I am
surprised that anyone might even make such a suggestion.

George, simple "yes" or "no" time here: do you concede that the practice of
reciting "al Hamdulillah, Allahu Akbar, Subhan Allah" is an element of the Sunni
Muslim tradition? That is what _your_ source on the matter said.
