Rape Convictions.

Many people here worry that many rape convictions are false.  But
criminology tells a different story.  Given that in US sex crimes
carry mandatory life sentence on Megan's list and/or probation plus
long time in prison, very few men would falsely confess to a sex
crime.  Thus almost all of the 86% of sex criminals convicted by
guilty plea are guilty.  As for the 14% convicted by trials -- I guess
no more then 20% of them are innocent.  Thus NO MORE THEN 3% OF
CONVICTED SEX OFFENDERS ARE INNOCENT.  That is not a big price to pay
given our epidemic of sex crimes after the "sexual revolution".
