They'd still be cheaper because they buy in mass volume. Worker labor
costs are only one part of the total equation.

Why not? Lefties favor government sponsored health care coverage, which
benefits those who have none now, and will be paid for largely by those
of us who already have coverage.  So not only will we be subsidizing
Walmart employees, we can add McDonalds, retail stores, and other low
pay people as well.
