In article <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] says... > It's for the chilllldren!!!! > > Seriously, you have posed a political problem here. What do you do with > people who don't have enough skills to command jobs that 'pay a living > wage'? Do you really wish to, say, have the government guarantee such > to everyone? That's a pretty severe economic twist from where we > started in this country. I'm saying nothing of the sort. The problem here is that Walmart squeezes the middle-man labor contractor who then goes out and finds the cheapest labor possible. Many prove to be ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who are, as far as I know, not supposed to be hired by law-abiding companies, RIGHT??? Now, if they had to compete for workers without access to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, the cost of labor to them would likely float to MARKET VALUE. Market value might also include HEALTH INSURANCE so our TAXPAYER FUNDED EMERGENCY ROOMS aren't overrun by people with no health insurance. Do you enjoy subsidizing Walmart's employee health care? Does that compute for you or should I take an even more remedial approach? jps
