There is no substitute for the Barter System, which is what we have in the world today. "Money" is just a way to keep score. > 3. If all everyone wants is peace, why are they trying to enforce it by war? > (If one dog wins, the other will lie in wait for him.) Ah, but not everyone wants peace. Some people want what someone/everyone else has. Peace is an ideal that in no way bears any resemblance to reality. There has always been conflict. There will always be conflict. This cannot be changed. This is the reality of the situation. All you can hope for is the the current power holder(s) show some type of benevolence. Generally speaking, what the greatest number wants is what guides the power. It's usually the warped minority or individual who wants what others have earned that causes conflict. > 4. Who said technology is great? Technology is just a way to get what needs to be done accomplished easier/faster. The same objectives need to be done. The crops have to be grown/reaped/sold. People have to be fed and entertainment provided. Technology makes this easier but in the process eliminates the 'survival of the fittist' option. Personally I think there are drawbacks to technology. According to computers, I have died three time in my life already. Do I REALLY need a jiffy pop popcorn maker than can pop popcorn in 30 seconds? Do I need my hot dog to be nuked in a Microwave oven in 10? (I have a microwave oven, haven't used it in three years, makes a nice plant holder) > 5. Some see a beach and revels in it's pristine beauty. Others look at it and see a three thousand unit condo. I look at it as that annoying itchy stuff between me and the water. > 6. There are assholes all over. Yes, those assholes will be in Helsinki and Abuja, and you'll get to meet some nice ones from Essex and Nova Scotia. > 7. If life is so goddamn precious, why do we waste most of our lives focused > on mechanical things while ignoring our own health and state of mind? Not everyone does. Some like cars, some like bodybuilding. Not everyhong considers life precious, some consider it an accident, others torture. Everyone makes their own choices and must live with the results.
