[****] Morale of the Troops

In spite of what the big general says, the troops are not so happy. The
suicide rate is rising also but there is little notice of this because it
would not look good for the war-makers.

Morale among some war-weary GIs in Iraq is so low that a growing number of
soldiers - including some now home on R&R - are researching the
consequences of going AWOL, according to a leading support group.
