Karl Rove has started his campaign to help elect Bush with a $100,000
campaign ad that touts the Bush policy of "pre-emptive war" and then he
implies that Democrats are anti-American for not supporting Bush's
policy.
Where have the Democrats opposed the Bush policy of pre-emption? Let's
get one thing straight, if you really think about it, Bush himself
opposes his own policy of pre-emption.
And furthermore, one has to ask, where/when has Bush ever even used that
policy?
That Bush policy of pre-emption does NOT apply to Iraq. Iraq was not a
threat to our country, it has been found that they don't have any WMD's,
and CIA head George Tenet testified to the Senate that Saddam Hussein
had no connections to Al Qaeda either. Where's the pre-emption? We
pre-empted them from what? Selling us tainted oil?
And Afghanistan was attacked only after the fact, after 9/11, so the
Bush policy of pre-emptive war has not been applied there either.
The only place that Bush's policy of pre-emptive war would apply is
North Korea. Now there's a country that really does have WMD's, and
they are threatening to use them against us. But Bush will not even
touch them with a ten foot pole.
So what lesson does that teach the world? Produce WMD's, and Bush will
respectfully avoid attacking you. Cooperate with weapons inspectors,
and Bush will annihiliate you.
Iraq had no WMD's, was of no threat to us, and they did not even have an
army to speak of, nothing whatsoever that was threatening to us. It was
not Iraqis who attacked us in 9/11, it was Saudi Arabian fanatics. And
again, Bush is respectfully avoiding any attacks on them, and he is even
coddling the Saudis. Go figure. The rest of the world has.
Last October Bush admitted that Iraq did not have ties to 9/11 after
all, but this new GOP ad continues to link the 2. The ad highlights
Bush's State of Union speech, even though we all know that the speech
was filled with lies (about the Niger deal and then some).
We have a doctrine that Bush will not use on anything or anyone that
threatens our country, but he will use it as a political tool to deceive
the American people and then he hopes to get elected on it.
He may have an easy time fooling the American people with his false and
dangerous doctrine of warfare, but he's not having an easy time fooling
the rest of the world. Remember, that it was under his watch that the
World Trade Center was attacked in the first place. And since he's been
President, attacks against American interests have increased a thousand
fold.
It's been under his watch that American interests have been attacked in
dozens of countries thru out the world, such as Indonesia, Kenya,
Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Yemen, Pakistan, Qatar, e.t.c.
In fact, it would be a shorter list to ask where American interests have
not been attacked while he's been President?
The GOP ad says, "Some are calling for us to retreat...". Except that
it is Bush who is retreating, from both Iraq AND Afghanistan (where
Osama bin Laden still roams freely). And then Bush has been such an
ignorant and annoying ass to everyone he could, he's simply offended all
of our allies away from supporting us. This is what Bush and his NeoCon
fascists have done.
To make a long story short, on November 3rd of 2004, the whole world
will breathe a huge sigh of relief after we vote this collosol Moron out
of office. In other words, REGIME CHANGE BEGINS AT HOME.
