If the low-power transmitter isn't "spectrally pure" (meaning it has no
transmitter 'spurs', spurious signals or harmonics), it CAN and WILL
interfere ith other legitimate services.
The problem with these illegal transmitters is that the dopers running
them have the technical expertise of a turnip, and manage to hash up
legal radio systems over a large area.
