Oct. 1, 2007 Governor Schwarzenegger today made an announcement that he would be making a run for the White House along with Jeb Bush as his running mate. As you know, a foreign born citizen can now become president since the Republican led Congress passed Amendment 27 in 2004. He was quoted as saying "I think the people will vote to keep the Republicans in office for the good job that they have done over the last 4 years". In conversations with reporters he explained that "when the dirty bomb exploded in New York in 2003, it prompted a radical change in the direction of the government. First, we had to re implement the draft, and to call up all available reserves to help with the war on terrorism by invading Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. And then there were the domestic problems. We had all of those fractional elements of society openly defying the government. We had anti-war protestors who aided the enemy by trying to stop the war. We had internet web sites that did not adhere to our "Homeland Security Guidelines for the Internet". And we had the "constitutionalists" that had the audacity to raise constitutional issues in courts of law, imagine!. But President Bush showed what a true leader he is by declaring these rogue elements 'enemy combatants' and ordering their incarceration, thus bringing about a new era of peace to our society and to the world. No more loose cannons running around making accusations about elected officials and stirring up hatred. Now, the laws that make any criticism of the government illegal, are making America a model society". Governor Schwarzenegger went on to say, in 2005 when President Bush started the campaign to "voluntary" turn in all firearms, the public was very uneasy. We even had an uprising by the rebellious, subversive "patriot" groups that were trying to threaten society. But since we have captured the majority of these subversives and sent them to special rehabilitation camps, the public has grown accustomed to relying on the Department of Homeland Security for their defence. Credit the nightly TV show "How Homeland Security Is Improving Our Lives" for helping the American public to accept their new role as partners in security. On foreign policy, the governor had this to say. "Turning over the security of the Middle East to the Israelis was a stroke of genius" "Sure, we have to now send Israel 87 billion dollars a year to finance this security operation, but we're a lot better off not having to keep our troops in all those countries we invaded and trying to maintain those occupations". Polls show that 70% of Americans are in favor electing Shwarzenegger over his democratic rival. And with the new 'Accuracy in Polling' regulations that has just been passed into law, the public can rest assured that the information released by the pollsters is accurate to within +/- 3%. Governor Schwarzenegger's final remark was "When you go to your polling machine and touch the screen for your favorite candidate, just remember who has brought you all these changes and help keep America strong".
