I blame the butt-monkeys at the Sierra Club for preventing forest clean up. Here are the facts... 1. The Forest Service is managed and run by eco-terrorist sympathizers hired by the Clintonistas, who padded the payrolls with Sierra Club employees, lobbyists and fellow travellers. 2. The Sierra Club is against ANY AND ALL forest thinning. They oppsed "Healthy Forests" in any and all forms. They say so on their web site. 3. The Sierra Club IS in favor of destroying all roads (especially fire/logging roads) in the National Forests in support of the Wildlands Project. So is every other major "Environmental" organization in the US. 4. A number of fires are DOCUMENTED as having been started by ELF. The Sierra Club has never avowed ELF or the Earth First terrorist. Neither has ANY OTHER major environmental organization. 5. The Sierra Club, National Audubon Society, Wildlife Conservancy, etc., has been totally silent on convicted eco-terrorist and accused anti-war saboteur Michael Devlyn Poulin -- who is accused of attempting to destroy power transmission lines in the Oregon and California. Neither the major eco-fraud organizations, nor the "Green Party," have ever disavowed terrorists who act in THEIR name. 6. The words of thge leaders of the "Environmental" movement speak for them all: John Muir, co-founder of the Sierra Club wrote: "How narrow we selfish, conceited creatures are in our sympathies! How blind to the rights of all the rest of creation! ...Well, I have precious little sympathy for the selfish propriety of civilized man, and if a war of races should occur between the wild beasts and Lord Man, I would be tempted to sympathize with the bears." [Recounted by Philip Shabecoff, A Fierce Green Fire: The American Environmental Movement (New York: Hill and Wang, 1993)] -- "Does all the foregoing mean that Wild Earth and The Wildlands Project advocate the end of industrialized civilization? Most assuredly. Everything civilized must go..." John Davis, editor of Wild Earth magazine -- "Many ecologist (myself included) would just as soon see huge areas of land kept off limits to human activities of any kind." (Noss, R. 1995. Maintaining Ecological Integrity in Representative Reserve Networks. World Wildlife Fund Canada Discussion Paper. p. 12.) -- "The crucial paradigm shift the Deep Ecology movement envisions as necessary to protect the planet from ecological destruction involves the move from an anthropocentric to a spiritual/ecocentric value orientation...Humanity must drastically scale down its industrial activities on Earth, change its consumption lifestyles, stabilize and then reduce the size of the human population by humane means, and protect and restore wild ecosystems and the remaining wildlife on the planet." --Sessions, pg xxi, DE21 On the other hand: ------------------- "It's time that we reject the environmentalists' degrading view of human nature, and go on the moral offensive. It's time that we, as human beings, assert our right to exist as our nature demands. It's time that we stop apologizing for our every footprint, for our every fence, for our every meal. " [Robert James Bidinotto,"Environmentalism or Individualism?" http://econot.com/page4.html] ------------------- >From now on, we are going to make the "environmentalists' PROVE their wacky theories before we enact any of their insane ideas. Thanks to them, 20 people are dead, 700,000 acres and 2700 homes are destroyed, and billions of damage caused. Today's "environmentalists" are today's domestic terrorists. America, we must *shut* the Sierra Club and their fellow travelers *out* of making national environmental policy in the future. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] This has been one of the worst fires in American history. The damaged area is about the size of Rhode Island, dozens have been killed, and thousands of homes have been destroyed. Yet again, our State continues to suffer the brunt of Bush's usual anti-California policies. For those of you who don't care, in the rest of the country (mainly the Republicans), & if I can not appeal to your moral instincts, then let me appeal to your selfish instincts, here's a basic fact, it is not possible for the rest of the U.S. economy to improve, if the Republicans persist in waging their dirty war against the largest State in the Union, California.
