Actually, the liar I refered is Harry Wu, whose speech he posted over here. Anyway, since you talked about him, let me put my two cents here. As a doctor, Dr. Li couldn't get that much party secret as he discribed in his book. Such as the Chief Director of Party Office Wang Dongxin warned him before the arrest the "Gang of Four". And there are other examples. But the publisher wanted to juicy up the book, they push him to put more sexy stuff in it although he had limited knowledge about it. And I doubt much that Mao got any VD during the Culture Revolustion since it was already 20 years after the revolution, and the near puritain life had nearly wiped out most such kind of desiese from China, unless he had any sex with someone more than 40 years old, while he was mainly with Zhang Yufeng, who had been with him since the sixties. Not to mention Madame Mao was active during the Culture Revolution. But anyway this is my guessing only.
