corrections to General Abizaid analysis of the Iraq war

General Abizaid was on the Newshour tonight discussing the Iraq war. And
I feel he made many big mistakes in his assessment of that war and so
this post hopefully addresses some of those mistakes.

I have held the belief that if the Internet had existed by 1960 and if I
had been old enough and wise enough to post from 1960 onwards as well as
thousands of other people that the Vietnam War may have never become a
war but fizzled out by 1963. The message there was crystal clear that
you win wars when the reason for fighting is "moral" and you have a high
degree of losing a war if the fighting is over "immoral grounds". The
immorality of the Vietnam War was that the Vietnamese wanted freedom
from colonialism and the USA was the newest Colonialist after the French
had departed. So Vietnam from day number one was an immoral war for the
USA. And I feel that if I had constantly blaired that issue on the
Internet along with other war protestors that we may have made the
politicians more sensible and logical and averted the Vietnam War.

Likewise the Iraq War is immoral on the grounds that the Palestinians
are a suppressed and oppressed people whose land is being stolen by the
Israel-USA axis power. Israel and USA have formed a axis that denies the
Palestinians a homeland. And so, the Iraq war is really the
Iraq-Palestinian War. The Afghan invasion was really the
Afghanistan-Palestinian War. The immorality of the USA in Iraq is the
fact that the USA aids and abetts Israel in the oppression and stealing
of land of the Palestinians. It is highly likely that the USA will
experience a defeat and retreat in Iraq because Iraq is a constant
suicide guerrilla warfare on USA soldiers.

General Abizaid is wrong in saying that the Iraq resistance amounts to
about 5,000 men. How many Muslim or Islam believers in the world today?
Is it about
1.3 billion people? All of those 1.3 billion want to see a Palestinian
Homeland. So when General Abizaid says that the USA forces are battling
5,000 guerrillas that is a wrong number. What the USA forces are
battling in Iraq is against 1.3 billion people or about 5 or 6 times the
total USA population itself.

The immorality of the Iraq War is the fact that we are there trying to
bring a better life to Iraqis yet simultaneously via Israel we are
furthering the oppression of the Palestinians.

So whereas General Abizaid and the Bush cabinet are trying to convince
the American people that we are fighting against 5,000 bad persons. That
is a gross mistake. There are millions of Muslims anxious to take up
arms and go to Iraq and fight against the USA soldiers all because they
have lived a life where everyday is news of more Palestinian oppression.

Instead of Muslims going into Israel to suicide bomb, they now have a
chose of going into Israel or going into Iraq.

Before, angry Muslims had to plant themselves in sleeper cells in the
USA to strike at the USA. Now, they simply enter Iraq.

So, the good General is wrong in his figure of 5,000 bad angry men. The
better figure is somewhere in the millions of men of Islam faith who are
angered by the Palestinian oppression.

The other mistake by the good General is that this Iraq War is really
the Iraq-Palestinian War. In fact, every war that the USA conducts
involving a Islamic country should be attached the Palestinian. Because
whenever any Muslim thinks of the USA, he immediately thinks of the
Palestinians being oppressed.

The USA lost in Vietnam because it was immoral to colonize a people. The
Iraq War is an extension of the oppression of the Palestinians by the
Israel-USA axis, and because Iraq is an extension of Palestinian
conflict, then the Iraq war is immoral. The likelihood is that the USA
and Coalition forces will come to realize that they can never stop the
suicide bombers, just as Israel cannot stop it as long as Israel steals
the land of the WestBank and Gaza.

All Islamic countries hate the USA because of Palestine and whenever USA
soldiers, or even tourists enter a Islamic country they have their lives
to fear.

Mr. Bush should have solved the Palestine Homeland issue before thinking
of invading Iraq.

And it does no-one any good to underestimate the enemy by saying it is
5,000 when in fact it is the entire population of Islamic people which
the USA has alienated in its oppression of the Palestinians.

At the rate we are going, with 16 Italian soldiers killed recently, that
the exit from Iraq will be as shameful and dishonorable and as messy as
the exit from Vietnam.

Such is our world, when you refuse to fix the worst and priority
problems first which was the Israel Palestine Conflict and instead jump
into new freshly created problems.

Israel-Palestine was the major cause of 11Sept01

Israel-Palestine is the major cause of what will become the exit of USA
from Iraq in a dishonorable fashion.

If Mr. Bush had spent his entire 4 years from 2000 to 2004 concentrated
on just fixing one problem--- the Israel Palestine Conflict, he would
have achieved alot. Instead, Mr. Bush is in a mess with perhaps
negative-accomplishment.

The feature for president of the USA to look for is a person who can see
what the top priorities of this nation are and acts on solving that
priority. Not a person who is blind to priorities and makes a mess of
things by creating a whole new batch of problems.
