You've got two flaws: #1) Arafat is THE biggest obstacle to peace. Over the decades, Israel has repeated shown a sincere desire to deal in good faith with the arabs in creating a Palestine. Every single time it has been Arafat who has walked away from negotiations. No peace is possible as long as Arafat retains power. Period. #2) Who are the Palestinians anyways? Arafat is... Egyptian! Not even close to the supposed Palestinian lands. But anyways there has NEVER been a country of Palestine, and there is no nation of Palestine. There is no unified palestinian culture, no unique palestinian language, no palestinian traditions (homicide bombing doesn't count as a tradition!), indeed, they aren't even all of the same descent - some are egyptian, some are Jordanian, some are Lebanese, etc. There is no such thing as Palestinians. These people who call themselves Palestinians are a political tool of other arabs, a pawn against the jews. That's it. Most arabs despise the "Palestinians" only slightly less than they despise the jews. They all know it is a farce, but it is a necessary one in their war to exterminate the jews. There were arabs who lived in the region before Israel was created, but they were not a unified people who called themselves Palestinians. The nation of palestine is a highly artificial one forged only in the second half of the twentieth century as a foil to jewish settlement in the middle east. Peace isn't a option, only the elimination of all jews from the middle east is acceptable. If the issue of Palestine was to be solved tomorrow, something else would happen to again bring the jews under assault from the arabs. Indeed, some arab countries are still technically at war with Israel and do not officially recognize its existance! You completely misunderstand the fundamental issue here. It isn't about Palestine - the arabs *really* don't care about Palestine one way or the other, it's about the liquidation of the jews.
