Re: govt. claims 7.2% rise in GDP; accurate number?????

I can think of several ways that the Executive branch of USA
government has rigged the 3rd quarter GDP report.

(1) just simply made an arithmetic or algebra mistake where the real
GDP for the 3rd quarter was 3.5% and some clown computed it wrong and
blaired out 7.2%

(2) perhaps the flow of export oil from Iraq was included into the GDP
numbers

(3) perhaps the entire funding of the war in Iraq was added into the
GDP
computation.

Anyway, we should be leery and skeptical of government reports when
our observations of our surroundings do not agree with those reports.
I hear of more
job layoffs than any robust economy. So I think more people should ask
for a
"check up on how the GDP number" was derived. Whether there was any
changes in
how the number is computed.
