The USA govt claims the 3rd quarter GDP was a 7.2% rise. I wonder about
that
claim. Have they altered or changed any aspect of the measure for that
number?
I wonder because the price of oil is still above $30. per barrel. Have
government
officials done something different in measuring or reporting of the GDP
so as
to give the false illusion of a remarkably rising GDP.
Seems odd that you can have a sizzling rising economy when the price of
energy
is rising. And when bogged down in a guerrilla warfare in Iraq.
One explanation would be that the Iraq oil exports of $2 ($$$ not sure
of that number) billion per day is a means of distorting the USA figure
of GDP.
Americans were propagandized about the Weapons of Mass Destruction in
Iraq,
so it is not out of the ordinary that Americans can be propagandized as
to GDP
numbers.
How can you have a 7% rise with record unemployment, companies not
hiring
and record trade deficits. It is easy to believe that China would have a
7% 3rd quarter GDP and not the USA with high oil prices and bogged down
in Iraq.
So is this 7.2% another piece of propaganda or is it a fact????
