I don't recall liberals predicting a wave of attacks. Far from it. It 
has been the neocons who have seized on the atacks that did occur as a 
pretext for war and the destruction of civil rights and whoi continue to 
insopire fear through continued predictions of terror attacks, 
especially when having fear instilled in the people suits their 
political ends.

As for me, hey, life is chancey. I personally would prefer that they do 
away with all this airport security and just let us take our chnaces in 
comfort and dignity and, incidentally, save a whopping pile of money.  
But the trouble is the security industry has a vested interest to 
keeping the fear level high.
