I know you seem incapable of simple things as study, memory, and thought, so I'll help. In 1990 the government of Iraq invaded the sovereign country of Kuwait. In 1991 a coalition backed by the UN liberated Kuwait and moved in to Iraq. The war was stopped by Iraq signing a number of UN agreements about demilitarization. For 12 years they continued to violate those agreements, something the UN very clearly admitted. That included a resolution allowing member countries to do what was necessary to enforce the agreements. In 2002 the UN had been stonewalled so long that it pulled its inspectors back from Iraq, saying they weren't allowed to do their jobs. Shrub threatened war. Saddam allowed the inspectors back in. The inspectors still said they were being blocked. Shrub attacked. Simple and clear cut, except for apologists who like to use Neville Chamberlain as a hero. If you paid attention to what came from the US government, they said there was still a chance WMD still existed, since Iraq refused to follow the agreements proving they destroyed them. That was something even the ever wishy washy Hans Blix had to admit. It was the media who talked it up as the primary reason and gullible children who then ignored the facts and listened to the talking heads who believed it. Study, puppy, study.
