Zionist occupation authorities demolish house in occupied Jerusalem Dec 3, 2003, 11:50 Occupied Jerusalem - Zionist occupation tractors today demolished the house of Nafeth Badr Al-Rajbi at the Nusseiba suburb to the north of occupied Jerusalem rendering three families homeless. The Quds center for social and economic rights condemned the flattening of the woman's house, charging that it fell in line with the occupation authorities' war on Palestinian presence in the holy city. The center noted that the demolition, which displaced 11 persons living in the building, took place without prior notice. The occupation authorities employed foreign workers escorted by policemen to throw the furniture and other belongings outside the building before the huge tractors razed the building to the ground. The center's lawyer Ashraf Seif said that the demolition order was passed in early 2001 and his center tried since then to rescind the ruling but to no avail. He said that the Zionist court had passed around nine thousand dollars fine against the proprietor that she used to regularly pay for the past three years. The center noted that the number of razed Palestinian houses this year thus reached 107 buildings with the month of August registering the highest number of houses (29) demolished in one month. The center pointed out that 320 people were harmed as a result almost half of them were children. http://www.palestine-info.co.uk/
