EU earmarks $10m to market the "Switzerland document" Dec 3, 2003, 09:55 Gaza - Dr. Hasan Khreisha, chief of the monitoring committee at the Palestinian legislative council, has affirmed that the European Community had earmarked ten million dollars to print and publish a booklet on the "Switzerland document". The booklet was distributed in Palestinian Authority areas free of charge and contained the articles of the so-called "Switzerland document". Khreisha described the new agreement as a "farce" especially when the signatories agreed that the Arabic version of the document was not binding to the Zionist party and that only the English version was binding to it. The MP resolved that the Arabic version did not reflect the true content of the document and posed as a clear deception to the Palestinian people. Khreisha rejected this and any other document that ceded the right of return or any other national, legitimate right. The Palestinian-"Israeli" meetings these days coincided with "Israel's continued construction of the segregationist fence in the West Bank and legalizing random settlements," he noted. The Palestinian MP affirmed that the right of return was a sacred and inalienable right and expressed conviction that signatories to the "Switzerland document" were content to serve as "test balloons" to assess the Palestinian people's reaction to such concessions. He described the signatories as unsuccessful academicians and asked for an official PA declaration that those men did not represent the Palestinian people. http://www.palestine-info.co.uk/
