Qassam Brigades mourn martyrs Dec 2, 2003, 16:00 Gaza - The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, today issued a statement bearing the glad tidings on the martyrdom of two prominent field commanders in the West Bank following a violent confrontation with the Zionist occupation's special forces. The statement said that while agents were surrendering Palestinian people's rights in Geneva (referring to the signing of the Switzerland document on the same day) the Qassam Mujahideen fought the invading Zionist forces to the finish in Ramallah. It said that the battle was a clear message to those "criminal land brokers" namely that Palestine would remain an Arab and Muslim country and that not one inch of its soil was for sale. The statement said that the message further underlined that the right of resisting usurpers of Palestinian lands was a religious and national duty. The Qassam statement said that martyr Sayed Abdul Karim Al-Sheikh Qassem, 30, and martyr Saleh Mahmoud Talahme, 40, were adamant on fighting the invading enemy force refusing calls for surrender thus declaring insistence on resistance and martyrdom. The Qassam statement urged all cells and resistance factions to escalate operations against Zionist targets and interests in retaliation to occupation forces. The Qassam Brigades described the signing of the Switzerland document yesterday as a betrayal to the Ummah and urged the Palestinian and Muslim masses to shun the signatories. http://www.palestine-info.co.uk/
