Zionist occupation army claims murdering Qassam commander Dec 2, 2003, 09:44 Ramallah - Zionist security sources last night claimed the murder of Sheikh Ibrahim Hamed, 39, commander of the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, in the Ramallah district. The sources said that a special army unit encircled Al-Kiswani building in Massyun district in Ramallah and ordered all occupants out before flattening the building. They said that Hamed took refuge in the first floor and refused to surrender to the Zionist unit then started hurling hand grenades at the soldiers who retaliated by destroying the entire building over his head. No Palestinian source would yet confirm the news. The Zionist security apparatuses charge Hamed of masterminding a number of commando attacks that left more than 80 Zionist soldiers and settlers killed and 550 others wounded. The Zionist special units had stormed the twin West Bank cities of Ramallah and El-Bireh at dawn yesterday and started a large-scale campaign aimed at murdering what they described the most dangerous Qassam cells in the West Bank. Two of the Qassam Mujahideen were martyred earlier in the raid: Saleh Talahme and Sayyed Al-Sheikh Qassem. They were among the most wanted activists in the area. http://www.palestine-info.co.uk/
