This is not what people are saying. It's not merely a question of "leaving
or not leaving" - iut's a question of them ACCEPTING the partition. Key word
ACCEPTANCE. No, even if they'd stayed under their mentality at the time,
there would have been trouble; but it would have been a civil war. It would
have been interesting to see how "international law" would have dealt with
it, considering how it deals with other "internal matters" from *other
(read: non-Jewish)* states.

And since this forced "conclusion" is based on a false premise, we know just
how worthless it is.
