  The USA and Israel are not morally equivalent to the rogue nations. 
The equivalance argument (similar to that raised against the loony
anti-gun people) has long been demolished (as of its first use, in
fact).

  The UN is not an authority on any serious conflict or crisis in this
world, and in practice is often an anti-Western political weapon
(hardly above and beyond such politics).

  The USA is not a "loose cannon."  It's more grown-up than it has
been in the past, and more grown-up (and much less corrupt as well as
less cowardly) than the Europeans.
