Second, concerning the billions of dollars and lives lost, I'm assuming that you are referring to WWII, the Korean Conflict, Vietname, etc. The first war was not fought to defend Europe, it was fought after we had been attacked by the Japanese. And against Hilter after he had declared war on us, as a result of the multual treaty.The war was fought to defend our own country. The billions spent was spent to assist in the rebuilding of Europe and Japan. Top suggest that they sinply rebuild themselves would have left us open to worse problems. As for our troops remaining in Germany, Japan and Korea you would be surprised at the number of Germans, Japanese and Koreans who would love to see us close our bases and go home. I don't believe she was bashing us. She was making comments on our health care system. And our health care system has many problems. I'm surprised that no one has commented on Friday's passage of the Medicare changes. Denise
