    Correct again.  The medical system in the USA has hijacked the national
budget for its own.  We would have a higher standard of living in the USA if
we had been able to control the greed built into the medical system in the
USA.

   You should check out Paul Starr's book on the evolution of the American
medical system to understand how bad off we are.
