First Riku, I DON"T BELIEVE THAT WE CONDUCT ALL THE DRUG RESEARCH AND THERE
WOULD BE NONE WITHOUT THE U.S. This is what the drug companies tell our
legislators. And their stockholders.

Second, many working Americans have prescription coverage through their
employers and pay $10 or $15 co-payment. It is the working poor, the disabled
and the retirees that generally do not have prescription coverage. And we are
very aware of the costs of our prescriptions. I use to live in New York State.
My prescriptions would cost me approximately $500 per month. I would drive to
Canada, where for $25 for a doctor's visit and $150 Canadian, for my
medications, I purchased a three months supply. Prior to moving to Florida, I
purchased a 7 month supply. There are buses that take U.S. citizens across the
border to purchased their medications.

As for buying the propaganda that price control is evil, I don't. However my
Congress people do, as does my governor Jeb Bush. And the drug industry has a
great deal more money to spend on lobbying then I do.

I could agree with you more, I am one of those Americans that has to decide
what is more important, my medications or my transportation or housing or food.
Our President has forced changes in our Medicare laws. We will now get drug
coverage. Will I sign up for it? It is highly unlikely. It does little to
help me. And he will not get my vote when he runs for re-election.
