The medical-industrial complex in the USA has produced a > system and educated individuals into the thought that medicine is a way to > make a lot of money, fast. Why not create publicly controlled system to US like in Nordic Countries. There government sets maximum price limits to medicines from which government subsides considerable part of. If price is too high, there will not come any public subsidy for patient. That has lead to situation where 95% of medicides are below maximum price. There is also new innovation, that pharmacy must give to patient cheapest generic medicine to patient with original medicine recipy. That has saved A LOT of money and lead to intensive price war. For instance Valium (diazepam) costed before 7 euro per 30 tabs. (5 mg), generic Medipam costs just 3 euro and similar Valium in US online pharmacys tens of dollars. What a price difference! This maximum price control saves a lot of tax money and also patients do not have to spend excessive amounts of money for their medicines. Your free pricing system benefits only medicine industry and pharmacies. It is not wonder that US spends many times more money to healthcare per capita than European countries where everybody has free health care system. European system is simply better for anyone except medicine industry that has slimmer profits than in US. Riku Riku
