E-Bay and all the internet stores have not managed to close most local
business. I personally live so far in the country that it is easier for me
to buy books and many other items on the internet. There are however a lot
of drug stores in rural Mississippi. The CR article mentioned independent
pharmacies. I believe a lot of independent pharmacies will match whatever
American prices you can find on the internet, if you ask them. They need the
business! The local pharmacy I use also sells firearms, and tints automobile
windshields He knows how to make money!

Besides Pharmacists are working in those online pharmacies. Probably
working a 9 to 5, 40 hour a week job with no holidays to work. It is
probably like working for a nursing home pharmacy where you fill
prescriptions and they are delivered to a nursing home. Also mail order or
online pharmacies only work for maintained drugs. Prescriptions for sick
kids like antibiotics will always require a local pharmacy unless the
doctors start giving antibiotics out.

My son was a Marine and he gets most of his prescriptions mailed to him by
the VA. They are a mail order outfit of huge size.
