Possibly, though Open Office seems to read and wirte MS Word 
docs well enought for me--but then these are really simple
things like resumes. No idea if the Presentation software in
OO is fully or even partially (though would expect that) 
compatible with MS PP. Star Office was suppose to be pretty 
good, but don't know if it's free any longer--it used to 
even run on MS as an alternative to Office.
